Simple Modification with a Minimal Tools
In order to install the conversion kit, you MUST REMOVE a section of the left and right tabs in the bottom. Use a dremel and hobby knife to shave off until it looks like the shape shown in the next section.
Follow the Shape of the Original
Cut away the excess until its the sliding areas are flush with the consoles original tabs. Notice the U shape once all the bits have been dremeled or cut away.
Another Angle
This is another angle of what the end result will look like before installing the conversion tabs.
Tab Insertion
Slide the tabs onto the modified area. We recommend using a dab of hobby glue on the contacted area, but the tabs are designed to lock fit as its inserted and will be stable and functional to use.
Upper Lock Upgrade
Remove the original locking tab located at the top of the HORI Grip and replace it with new locking tab that will adhere to new thickness of the PS VITA 1000 "Fat" version.
